IEC 60870-5-104 · RTU and gateway simulator
HolonStationTwin 104
In developmentSimulate an RTU or gateway as a controlled station. Load the point list, generate changes and answer commands, so the control centre side can be tested before the real outstation is there.
Planned features
What this tool is being built to do. Features may change before the first release.
Point list in, outstation out
Import the point list from CSV or Excel and start a controlled station with the right IOAs and types.
Spontaneous and cyclic data
Generate spontaneous changes, cyclic updates and bursts of events to load the link realistically.
Answers like a real RTU
Respond to general interrogation and commands, with configurable delays and positive or negative confirmations.
Several outstations
Run more than one station on different ports or addresses on the same machine.
Fault injection
Set quality flags such as invalid or not topical, drop the connection and test how the master reacts.
Scripted scenarios
Replay sequences of events to repeat the same test whenever you need it.
Where it helps
Control centre and SCADA testing
Test the master side before the RTU is installed or reachable.
Point-to-point checks
Drive each point on purpose and confirm it arrives right on the other end.
Training
Show how IEC 104 behaves, link problems included, in a safe environment.
